What Jesus Christ Means To Me

Through Jesus Christ I know that I have eternal life
in heaven with my family. God gives me this promise in Acts 16:31 - "Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house." Praise
God, this promise has already been fulfilled. My wife, my four children and myself
have already put out trust in Jesus Christ - the only way to get to heaven.
John 14:6 - "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."
Knowing that my family and I have a home in heaven settles the future, But God's grace
doesn't stop there. What about one's present life on earth? God is all loving,
all powerful and all wise. God provides for our present needs. Phil 4:19 - "But
my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Thank God for supplying our needs rather than our desires. God has never failed us
even though our weak faith has caused us to worry. We looked at the situation rather
than looking to Jesus. Oh, what a blessing it is to look to Jesus. Psalm 34:8
- "O taste and see that the Lord is good."
Being in business for ourselves with little and sometimes no capital,
we look to God's Word for another verse. Phil 4:13 - "I can do all things
through Christ which strengtheneth me." In years past there has been many
a day that we thought would be the last, due to loss of business, loss of employees, etc.,
but praise God, we have a loving and powerful Heavenly Father to take our problems to - A
Father who hears and answers our prayers. Our business was originally named B.F.C.
from the first initials for our three boys - but soon these letters came to have a new
meaning - By Faith in Christ.
Jesus Christ is the answer to all our problems - I urge you to turn to Him today -
especially if you haven't trusted Him as your Saviour. he stands at the door of your
heart today waiting for your answer. Rev. 3:20 - "Behold, I stand at the
door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and
will sup with him, and he with me."
Without Jesus Christ we are all in the same boat, condemned. John
3:18 - "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is  condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God." We inherited sin from Adam. Rom. 5:12 - "Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned." So without Jesus Christ we are all condemned
to go to hell for eternity. The Bible also tells us that God loves us. John
3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. I Peter 2:24 - "Who
his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins should
live unto righteousness; by whose strips we were healed."
I pray to God that you will realize in your heart that Jesus Christ is the only means of
salvation. Acts 4:12 - "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
We can either accept the punishment of sin or the gift of God of
eternal life through Jesus Christ. Rom 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Right where you are, you can have his gift of eternal life in heaven by asking Jesus to
save you. Rom. 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved." Thank God that "Whosoever" includes everybody
no matter what your sin may be. This gift, no one can ever take away from us.
John 6:37 - "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh
to me I will in no wise cast out."
